The Secretariat for Mission and Evangelization promotes and coordinates, in dependence on the Minister Provincial, all evangelization in the Province. He will keep the members of the Province informed regularly of the various initiatives in the areas of missions and evangelization (Cf. GS 52.1). The duty of the Animator of the missions is to animate and promote the spirit and the initiatives of missionary activity within the confines of the Province, support communications of the Province with the friars in the missions and to collect alms that, in dependence on the Minister Provincial, are to be spent for the benefit of missionary work. He is encouraged to use provincial publications such as “Inter Minores” and “New Serafika” in his communications with the Province (Cf. GS 52.2). It has been said that no work is excluded by our Rule. Franciscan Friars are not devoted to one ministry or one type of work. Friars of the Province of Our Lady Queen of Peace have been nurses, lecturers and carpenters, pastors and maintenance men, teachers and care givers. In communion with each other, we are called to evangelize others and ourselves as we live and proclaim the Gospel, respectful of the unique cultures in which we work.
