The Office of Development is the fund-raising arm of the Friars Minor of the Province of Our Lady Queen of Peace in Southern Africa. In order to help the Province to be financially autonomous and self-sustaining, the Office of Development generates funds locally raises awareness of the friars’ needs among those whom they serve as well as in the wider Church and society.

This office is part of the Provincial Curia and occupies office space at Vanderbijlpark. A friar is in charge of its day-to-day operations. He is helped by a lay-volunteer.

The friars constantly encourage qualified lay-people to partner us and to become part of an Association known as “The Friends of the Friars” and present potential donors or people who can offer their expertise in one area or another. The Office of Development will elaborate a plan for Appeals, Campaigns and fund-raising activities. Donations to support the life and mission of the friars can be made in various ways: - Bank transfer, online donations, legacy giving (gift in will), tax deduction, sharing of skills, volunteer work, prayers etc.
